Untitled
participatory project
2012
Within our intervention to a public space we asked several prostitutes in the suburb of Ústí nad Labem named Předlice to draw a sketch of their last customer for a „common“ price they accept from clients. This project deals with a phenomenon of prostitution in a problematic area in the town of Ustí and asks many other questions associated with prostitution on a societal level as well as individual level. Although it’s connected to a particular place, its significance is more universal.
Project was presented within the exhibition University of Předlice responding to a situation in the industrial suburb of Ústí nad Labem. Exhibition was organized by Faculty of Art and Design UJEP and took place in Prague National Gallery. Project was also part of exhibition HI5 in The Brno House of Arts.
